Semi-Finals Game 1: Szombathely - Bilbao 81-98

Surne Bilbao shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish point guard Melwin Pantzar (190-2000) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Lithuanian Margiris Normantas (194-1996) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Zoltan Perl (195-1995) answered with 22 points and Puerto Rican center Arnaldo Barea (203-1997, college: St.John's) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Szombathely. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
